I so enjoyed Mark Steyn's podcast about Adler and Ross (the team that gave us The Pajama Game and Damn Yankees) that I sat down and wrote this song parody:
I know a daft, perplexing plan.
A plan concocted by a man.
Some class warfare, some "Yes We Can!"
It's called Obama's hopenchange (how strange!).
All you see is money spent,
And all you hear is discontent,
And soon there's been a big descent.
It's called Obama's hopenchange (so strange!)
...Instrumental...
At a speech in Cairo town he's bowin' to the crowd.
...Instrumental...
You won't meet Rahm no mo' he's back in Chicago.
But if you go to the polls,
Push back those "hicks and rubes,"
Your great country, will surely be,
Flushed down the tubes.
Just balk at his Obamacare.
And call it crappy if you dare.
They'll say you're "racist," so beware
Of B. Obama's hopenchange (it's strange!).
