AP Scribbler Most Sympathetic to Hamas "Plight"

Ibrahim Barzak of the AP writes:

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) — A new round of violence between Israel and Palestinian militants has Gaza's Hamas rulers caught between reluctance to take on Israel and discomfort with reining in fellow Islamists from smaller, more radical groups involved in the fighting...
Caught between the Zionists and a hard place, eh? Wow, sucks to be them.

You have to admire the skillful way in which the AP--more subtle than Reuters in their tendentious reporting of the ongoing low-level war between Israel and its regional enemies--manages to convey the impression of Hamas being the passive victim of circumstances beyond its control. It's an updated version, I guess, of, "If the Czar only knew!"
