How "Isolated" Is Iran?

It's so isolated that it's hosting an international drainage shindig with attendees from countries that are supposedly giving it the cold shoulder:
TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran is to host the 62nd annual International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) mid October. The event coincides with the 21st annual Congress on Irrigation and Drainage which is held every three years.
The 8th International Micro Irrigation Congress is also to be hosted by Iran. Iran is holding the three events October 15-23.

1100 national and international experts are to join the congresses. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad joins the main conference. Top officials from 56 countries including Australia, the US, China, Japan, Canada, France, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia would take part in the meetings as well.

Senior officials of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, ECO Bank and the President of World Water Council are some other guests...
Wow, it must be really chilly for Iran out there in the cold.
