Hear, Hear

Kevin D. Williamson writes in the May issue of Commentary:
The ideological committment to indiviudal liberties, constitutionally limited government, property rights, freedom of enterprise and trade, and the like has proved to be the greatest restraint on human evildoing the world has yet seen.
That, in a nutshell, is why all "isms" save Capitalism (including Communism, Socialism, Fascism and Islamism) bring nothing but human misery on a mass scale (for all except those lucky few who sit atop the power structure, and get all the perks and privileges they deny to the hoi polloi).
