Iggy Quitting

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Iggy has announced his retirement from the rough and tumble of politics--and, surprise!, he doesn't sound nearly as gracious as he did last night (in fact, he sounds quite bitter). Here's my musical tribute to the Igman, with apologies to Artie and Paul:

And here's to you, M. Ignatieff,
Even though it's clear you're no Trudeau,
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Harvard's a breeze, M. Ignatieff,
Compared to pressing flesh in a campaign,
Vain, vain, vain,
Vain, vain, vain.

We know as much about you as we ever care to know.
We know about your 'ristocratic airs.
Look around you all you see's
Your party down the tubes.
Strollin' outta here, you never felt at home...

Where have you gone, M. Ignatieff?
The Lib'rals turn their angry eyes from you.
Boo hoo hoo.
What's that you say, M. Ignatieff,
Happy Jack he stole it all away,
Hey, hey, hey,
Hey, hey, hey.
