When It Comes to the Marketplace of Ideas, Former Ceej Big Shot Lawyer Is a Socialist

From the NatPo story about the Whatcott "hate speech" case now before Canada's Supreme Court:
Several intervenors were given brief opportunities to speak. Mark Freiman of the now-defunct Canadian Jewish Congress, one of Canada’s most experienced lawyers on hate cases, said “the marketplace of ideas as the best arbiter in the search for truth is a metaphor that should be used with caution. Even in economics, other than perhaps the Tea Party, nobody would maintain that a totally unregulated market is the best way for an economy to operate. It is also as prone as the economic marketplace to failure.”
He thinks the marketplace of ideas should be "managed" a la an over-regulated Obama-style economy? OMG!!

Reading such lunacy, one can't help but thank the powers-that-be who hung Freiman and the other darling Ceejers out to dry.
