Brar told a Radio India audience in Metro Vancouver last week that the gap between rich and poor is virtually non-existent in Cuba, education is free and no child goes to bed hungry.Of course, there's no freedom or human rights to speak of, but that's a small price to pay for free education and standardized economic circumstances, right? (In reality, it's standardized--i.e. crappy--for the hoi polloi. As in all such centralized systems, the ruling few at the very top enjoy a much more lavish and privileged lifestyle, one ordinary folks can only dream of.)
Update: Canadian standardizers bemoan the gap between rich and poor in Ontario.
