CAIR-CAN Presser Condemns B.C. Terror Plot Via the Usual Obfuscation

Islam is peaceful, terrorism is strictly verboten, yadda yadda yadda:
(Ottawa – July 2, 2013) The Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR.CAN), a national Muslim civil liberties organization, today forcefully reiterated the Canadian Muslim community's unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in the wake of the terror-related charges laid by the RCMP in Metro Vancouver against individuals said to be inspired by Al-Qaeda ideology.

“Regardless of the innocence or guilt of the accused, Canadian Muslims categorically denounce this alleged terror plot and condemn terrorism and violent extremism in all of its forms,” says CAIR.CAN Executive Director Ihsaan Gardee.

“Like all Canadians, we are committed to ensuring the ongoing security of our country and as we have and will continue to state, terrorism and violent extremism are antithetical with core Islamic principles that include justice, the sanctity of life, mercy and compassion."
CAIR.CAN commends law enforcement agencies for thwarting this alleged terror plot against the B.C. Legislature in Victoria and reiterates its call to all Canadians to immediately notify police whenever they have knowledge of criminal activities taking place.

“We are confident that our justice system will accord the accused due process including the presumption of innocence and that our fellow citizens will see this for what it is: the alleged criminal actions of a few whose cut-and-paste ideology do not reflect or represent the beliefs of Canadian Muslim communities,” adds Mr. Gardee...
What, no mention of a potential "backlash"? You're falling down on the job, Mr. G.
