Harpoon and His Insane Clown Posse

Harpoon Siddiqui is outraged that Obama donned Dubya's ten gallon hat and offed Osama in far-away Pakistan. He wanted Osama to have a trial (he suggests by an "ad hoc" UN Security Council tribunal, since the International Court of Justice, founded in '02, had no jurisdiction over something that happened on 9/11/01). To butress his case, Harpoon hauls out the big guns:

Helmut Schmidt, former West German chancellor: “It was clearly a violation of international law.”

In Canada, the NDP’s Thomas Mulcair was raising the same issue — albeit clumsily — whether “we want to live in a world where things are based on vengeance or based on justice. Justice means we’re applying rules of law, whether international or domestic.”

Okay, maybe not "big guns" so much as itty-bitty water pistols (with no ammo), but still...
