The Censorship Song

Here's a golden oldie from the era of campus unrest for all the Houles and Mouammars who make our "diverse" Trudeaupia the incredible place it is:

Oh, don't it hurt deep inside
To hear someone say something that's "mean"?
Oh, don't it pain to hear someone who's snide
Oh, especially when someone is her?

Silence is golden
(That's if you're right-wing).
Silence is golden, golden
(That's if you're right-wing).

Talking is cheap, people follow like sheep
On a campus so "nice" and p.c.
Didn't forsee how insane it would be
In the false north so weak and unfree.

Silence is golden
(That's if you're right-wing).
Silence is golden, golden
(That's if you're right-wing)...

We found out how deep the facade of niceness is at U of O. Just skin deep.

Scratched with some challenge to the official orthodoxy, and you found mean and ugly just below the 'serene and safe'.

It will be interesting to see if there is any consequences for thuggery at good ol Serene and Safe.
