For those parents who find the public school system insufficiently accommodating to Islam (that Toronto public school mosqueteria, and now a prayer room in a Catholic high school notwithstanding), here's an intriguing alternative--home schooling.
Shaykh Quick, you may not be too surprised to learn, is affectionately known by his students as "old school Dr. Quick." And "old school Dr. Quick" believes, for example, that when you "educate a man, you benefit the individual" but that when you do the same for a chick you "benefit a family."
Wow. That really is old school (if by old school you mean sharia).
