Matt the Phoenix

In case you were looking for SDAMatt, the site where you can find uploaded SUN TV videos (and other anti-jihad, anti-lunacy, pro-freedom treats) it's been hacked--and is now defunct. But you can find the same delights at the as yet unhacked SDAMatt2a.

The hacking--and rebirth--reminds me of the inspiring lyrics of the song "The Mary Ellen Carter" by late Canadian troubadour, Stan Rogers. The song details the defiant refloating of a boat by that name--an in-your-face "they-said-it-couldn't-be-done-but-we-did-it" sort of thing. The pertinent lyrics go:

And you to whom adversity has dealt the final blow
With smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go
Turn to and put out all your strength
Of arm and heart and brain
And like the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

Rise again, rise again,
Though your heart it be broken
And life about to end.
No matter what you've lost,

Be it a home, a love, a friend,
Like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again.
