Unfortunate Choice of Words

With rates of severe obesity quadrupling in Canada, a provocative line of thinking is emerging to give ground-breaking new human rights to the obese.

Surely the phrase "cutting-edge" would not have left the impression that the "ground" is "breaking" due to the drastic increase in the number of fat people.
