MP Justin Trudeau, youth and multiculturalism critic for the federal Liberals, said the attacks should remind Canadians to remain vigilant against all forms of hatred, prejudice and intolerance.

Personally, I think the attacks should remind us that there's a jihad out there, and that we must remain vigilant lest we get sliced and diced/blown to bits in some jihadi rampage/big kaboom. But, hey, I guess we each take away our own messages from such occurances, depending on our worldview.

says he hopes the attack was a “one-off” event.

From your lips to the Jana-gang's ears, Bernie. Consider me dubious, though, that, in light of the intensity and relentlessness of the hatred and the sheer numbers of the haters (who are here due to Canada's loco immigration/refugee policies), that will actually turn out to be the case.
