What a Shame!

Bitter rivals Fatah and Hamas decided to set aside their differences for the sake of Palestinian statehood. It's not working out so well.

Yeah, seeing dissension in enemy ranks is always heartening . . . but we do well to remember that even the most disparate polities will form alliances against a common enemy. (Think Britain and the U. S. allied with the Soviet Union against Nazi Germany, Athens and Sparta allied against Persia, Tlaxcalans and Spaniards allied against the Aztecs, etc.) Let's not hope too much from the inevitable infighting among Arab-Moslem groups when they "ally."
