Ha'aretz Conference a Hot Bed of Lefty Posturing

As mad, bad and dangerously off base as rags such as the Guardian and the New York Times are, Israel's Ha'aretz, beloved by the country's leftist elite, is arguably the worst of all. The Times of Israel reports that at this Ha'aretz confab (which was organized by the paper and the faux-Zionist New Israel Fund):
  • Israel's president Reuben Rivlin made a "controversial" appearance;
  • The PLO's Saeb Erekaat spoke--on condition that the Israeli flag was removed from the stage, a demand with which the confab complied;
  • Obama's UN ambassador, Samantha Power, railed against the absurdity of Israel being a permanent item on the Human Rights Council's agenda, but, being an Obama flunky, couldn't leave it there. Instead, she "balanced" that observation with severe criticism of Israel's "settler" policy, which those on the left see as "the" impediment to successful peace talks.
