More or Loesser

While listening to part one of Mark Steyn delightful tribute to one of my favurite song writers--and making turkey schnitzel; who says this gal can't multitask?--I thought of a way to update a Loesser tune familiar to most neophyte/inept piano duettists:

Hearts and minds,
We'll win 'em if we can.
They'll like us
And not the Taliban.
(Sadly,
The way it's goin'
The COIN
Ain't clicked;
Ain't doin' the trick, but...)

Hearts and minds,
I know we're infidel.
Tho' they're cold
Might melt 'em, who can tell?
Madly,
We disavow the truth,
Forsooth,
Jihad's no passing fad, dad...
