The RCMP has revealed that the gentleman sought in connection with the purchase of a large amount of ammonium nitrate (a.k.a. the fertilizer of peace) intended to use the chemical as--wait for it--fertilizer.
Such are the times we're living in that the purchase of what not long ago was merely a mundane gardening supply can now set off a massive man hunt.

Another poorly written article. At the beginning they say that the fertilizer has been recovered and the man identified. As you read down though it sounds like he wasn't and the police are still looking for him. I am curious though why the fertilizer was recovered from two Toronto locations.
Good question. This CNN report is clearer than the Post's, but it doesn't answer that question.
