Rebels With a Cause

Great news! With the aid of the kafirs' military hardware, Libyan "rebels" have retaken something or other.

And since they're "rebels" rebelling against a dictator with egregiously wretched taste in casual wear, that must be a good thing, right?, else why would we be there in the first place. Such "rebels," rebelling during what is still officially the Arab Spring, must hanker for the same things we do--freedom, democracy, one-man-one-vote...

Er, maybe not:

A key leader of the Libyan rebels admits that jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Moammar Gadhafi's regime.

In an interview with the Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, AbdelHakim al-Hasidi said he had re-cruited "around 25" men from the Derna area in eastern Libya to fight against coalition troops in Iraq. Some of them, he said, "today are on the front lines in Adjabiya."

Al-Hasidi said he had fought against "the foreign invasion" in Afghanistan.

He insisted his fighters "are patriots and good Muslims, not terrorists," but added that the "members of al-Qaida are also good Muslims and are fighting against the invader."...

Oh, so you mean the "rebels" we're backing, the ones we're willing to die for, are actually--now, what's that word that's been banished from the kinetic Golfer-in-Chief's vocabulary--jihadis?

Hats off to the Arab League and the UN. They've snookered the kafir into fighting a war in which there are no good guys.

How smart are they--and how dumb are we?

Update: George Jonas says, "We're acting like mercenaries in Libya, except we don't get paid." Come, come, George. Surely the knowledge that we're sparing Arab lives and preventing a "bloodbath" is payment enough.
