ISNA's Creative Accounting

Math is not exactly my forte, but when I read on the ISNA Canada site that the "Muslim Population has exceeded the mark of eight million people in the region" of North America, something didn't, as they say, add up. Sure enough, I consulted some sources and found that the number should be lower by many millions.

Does ISNA know something about the demographics that the census folks don't, or has the Muslim Bro' offshot purposely kited the numbers so we'll think there are a lot more Muslims around than there really are?

CAIR did a study in 2001 that concluded there were 6-7m Muslims in America.

In 2007, Navy Lt. Cmdr. Abuhena Mohammed Saifulislam claimed there were 8-10 million.

(There must be 15 million to a BILLION by now!)

IBD wrote about it here: http://www.jihadwatch.org/2007/01/the-8-million-muslim-lie.html

I read a good reFudiation of CAIR's methodology in 2001 but am unable to locate it right now. ... but this will do: http://www.danielpipes.org/76/how-many-us-muslims
