Anwar Al-Awlaki: Wreaking Havoc on Two Continents

Until I read this, in Brit rag The Sun, I had no idea that the Yemeni-American jihadi cleric had lived in U.K., too:
...US-born al-Awlaki came to Britain in 2002 as he was being probed over links to three of the 9/11 hijackers.
He stayed here for two years, speaking at extremist Islamic rallies up and down the country.

While here, four major terror plots were hatched and two were carried out.

The security source, who tracked British-based terrorists, said: "Preparation for these plots during the time he was here was the only show in town.

"Our intelligence was that he was linked to groups who helped influence these terrorists. He was one horrible b*****d."

Al-Awlaki got an "unprecedented" welcome by Muslim groups in Britain, says researcher Alexander Meleagrou-Hitchens, who probed his stay here. He said the preacher was taken on a "grand tour" from London to Aberdeen, lecturing crowds of up to 200 mostly young Muslims.

A student who heard one rant said: "He was the main man who translated the jihad into English."...
Indeed. Too bad the b*****d was allowed to spread his poison in both America and the U.K. before managing to flee to Yemen.
