"Justin Trudeau" (which is to say a New Yorker scribbler writing in the guise of JT) pens a letter to Bernie Sanders wherein the former offers the above-cited (as well as lots of other) campaign advice to the latter.
Of course, there's no threat of Justin's vocabulary being needlessly inflated: he isn't smart enough to have those big words stored and readily accessible in his cranial hard drive.
The Toronto Muslims website congratulates NCCM (the entity formerly known as CAIR-CAN) for persuading The Toronto Star to refer to "ISIS" as "DAESH." (I can see how/why a MuBros-linked body would take comfort in the change--i.e. because it removes the "Islamic" from the Islamic State. However, since DAESH sounds way scarier in a James Bondian sort of way--i.e. like "SPECTRE" or "SMERSH"--I'm not entirely certain that it is a victory.)
Israel Apartheid Week is essentially an invasion of Western universities by Middle Eastern terrorism. Its aim is to abet the destruction of a country, Israel, by poisoning the minds of a whole generation against it. Its cri de coeur is “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” In other words, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea—no “two-state solution,” no compromise, no Israel.
One way to further that aim is to spread the “big lie” of Israeli “apartheid.”...

Thus, let's marvel at mosque architecture but avoid any mention of what's being preached in many of those mosques. (Or, to put it another way, better ix-nay the ihad-jay, 'kay?)

Such a position makes Trump an outlier among Republicans. Virtually every other GOP presidential candidate and the overwhelming majority of Republicans in the House and the Senate have affirmed their support for Israel in a way that makes clear that they believe the U.S. strongly backs Israel against the repeated Palestinian refusal to make peace. If anything, Trump’s stance strongly resembles the policy position taken by the Obama administration over the last 7+years.
That Trump would take such a stand and that he clearly harbors ambitions to make a deal between Israel and the Palestinians is not just a matter of hubris, though we know he has no shortage of that fatal trait. It shows his abysmal ignorance of even the recent history of the Middle East. Moreover, it also demonstrates that he would be at the mercy of the “really smart people” that he claims he will recruit to serve in his administration that would be advising him. That most serious Republican foreign policy experts have vowed to oppose and to never serve in a Trump administration makes it likely that his administration will be staffed either by outlier figures whose stance on Israel can’t be relied upon or, just as likely with veterans of Democratic administrations...
The Donald is great at talking, talking, talking and selling, selling, selling. But can he deliver on all his promises? In the case of Trump U., obviously, he could not.
