FYI: I"m Taking a Break

I won't be blogging for the next little while. I may be back at it in about a week. Then again, it could be a bit longer. See you then (whenever "then" is).

Harpoon Siddiqui's Wishful Thinking

It's Hamas, not Israel, that's winning in Gaza

Keith Ellison's "Solution": End the Blockade of Gaza to Achieve Peace

If you mean "peace" in the Hamas sense of the word, i.e. the "peace" of Islam being supreme and the Jews being dead, then, yeah, I think it could work.

Obama's Latest Sucking-Up-to-Muslims Episode Invoves a Drastic Rewrite of American History

Robert Spencer has the hilarious/horrid details:
In his message to Muslims on their holiday Eid al-Fitr, issued Sunday, Barack Obama asserted that “Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy.” He did not, unfortunately, provide even a single example of these “many achievements and contributions” that Muslims have made to “building the very fabric of our nation,” but he said that there were many, so they shouldn’t be hard to list a few, right?
You remember a few of them, don’t you? Remember the Muslim signers of the Declaration of Independence? With Yahya al-Hanqoq’s large signature front and center, so that the infidel King George III could read it without his spectacles? And then there was Ibrahim Clark of New Jersey and El-Bridge Gerry of Massachusetts. Remember also the Muslims who gave James Madison information about Muhammad’s Constitution of Medina – which, as we all know, granted equal rights to women and religious minorities, predating such documents in the West by 1,000 years. Madison, of course, used the Medina Constitution as a model when framing the U.S. Constitution.
Then there were the Muslims who fought so valiantly during the War of 1812 and the Mexican War. And in the titanic struggles over slavery, Muslims were front and center: remember the Muslim abolitionist Senators who faced down the South in the antebellum Senate, the Senate chamber ringing with their oratory about how the Qur’an says to free slaves and so the U.S. government should, too? Remember the Muslim regiments in the Civil War (all on the Union side, of course!)? Then in the aftermath of the Civil War came the Muslim industrialists who brought us railroads, the telegraph, the telephone.
Not to be forgotten are the Muslims who also fought courageously in the Spanish-American War, World War I and World War II, and the Muslim entertainers who kept us laughing on the Vaudeville circuit and on the home front during those terrible world wars with their jokes from the Hadith.
None of this rings a bell? Not to worry. Before too long it will be taught in all the textbooks. Absurd? Maybe – but no more than Obama’s statement itself...
Also--let's not forget the Muslims who wrote "God Bless America" and Goodbye, Columbus.

Irony Alert: Iran to Take Part in Hiroshima's "Love 'n' Peace" Film Festival

Iran aims to build a nuke or two so that it can follow through on its promise to obliterate "the Zionist entity." But why should that be an impediment to Ayatollahville participating in a film festival located in the city where the first A-bomb was dropped?:
Five Iranian screen productions are slated to take part in the 15th edition of Hiroshima International Animation Festival in Japan.
Gilane by Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, The Bonus for the Silence by Maziar Miri, Track 143 Narges Abyar and Night Bus by Kioumars Pourahmad and All Alone
By Ehsan Abdipour entered the 2014 Hiroshima festival’s lineup.
The winners of the festival are scheduled to be honored with the Japanese symbol of peace, the Paper Crane.

The Paper Crane remembers the story of Sadako Sasaki who was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 11 due to result of the radiation from the atomic bomb in Hiroshima when she was two.
According to the traditional Japanese belief, the paper crane is a symbol of luck; based on the belief, Sadako spent her time in a nursing home creating origami cranes in hope of making a thousand of them to be granted a wish.
While Sadako made only 644 cranes in seeking her wish of living, she met her death in October, 1955. After Sadako’s tragedy, the paper crane was popularized as a peace symbol.
Japanese peace representative Masahiro Sasaki, the elder brother of Sadako came to Iran to dedicate the symbol to the 2013 Festival of Films for Children and Young Adults held in Isfahan...
Established in 1984, Hiroshima International Animation Festival is a biennial manifestation held in Hiroshima city.
The festival is held under the spirit of love and peace as a project commemorating the anniversary of Hiroshima atomic bombing conducted by the United States during the final stages of World War II in August 1945...
I don't know about you, but my irony meter is off the charts.

It's the Zionhass, Stupid

I see that, according to a story in the National Post, a former big deal Official Jew is upset because aging "white power" creep John Beattie is running for office in a tiny Ontario town.

Me? I lose no sleep at all over the likes of Beattie. No, what scares me is the sight of 5,000 seething Zion-loathers, many toting flags of genocide-minded jihadi rackets Hamas and Hezbo and carrying photos of their hero, the Ayatollah Khomeini, gathering on the grounds of Queen's Park (a location that lends the disgusting proceedings a dignity they don't deserve).

But, hey, that's me.

Artie Erdogan, Fan & Funder of Hamas, Returns AJC Prize Because of Gaza

Good. These idiot Official Jews had no business giving him an award in the first place.

Insane Moral Relativism Run Amuck

Nancy Pelosi thinks there needs to be a "discussion" because Qatar (which funds the jihadi terrorist syndicate Hamas in a major way) has assured her repeatedly that Hamas is a "humanitarian" organization.

I think Nancy Pelosi needs to be locked in a rubber room for which the key should be tossed--permanently.

How Olivia Chow's Willful Blindness/Dhimmitude "Eids" and Abets the Jihad

Both Olivia Chow and John Tory showed up for yesterday's Eid festivities at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, apparently unaware that the Muslim Association of Canada, the outfit behind the event, has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. According to the Toronto Sun (I quote from the newsprint version of the paper; no links are available online as yet), Ms. Chow decided to "go native":
Chow, dressed in a traditional Muslim gown and hijab headscarf, said, "as summer ends, may peace arrive." She later added that if elected mayor, she would "invest in communities," in the city.
Oh, you mean "communities" like this one, Olivia? Do you really think that throwing money at it is the way to counter jihadi "values" that are antithetical to our own? If you do, you're even more of a space cadet than I thought you were.

Later on, away from the estimated 15,000 true believers who "packed the north hall" of the building, Tory
called Hamas an isolated "terrorist organization" attacking a "democratic" Israel.
Ms. Hijab Headscarf on the other hand
chose not to address the situation in Gaza.
"I think (that) for this city, it is important that we focus on the people in Toronto, that they can come together in peace in harmony."
Peace 'n' harmony, eh? Spoken by someone who has never attended a Khomeinist seethe-a-thon at Queen's Park--and who likely never will.

Update: One of the Toronto Sun links is now up.

Mark Steyn Asks, "Do They Still Do Satirical Songs About Khomeini on the Beeb?"

To answer Mark's query, I'd wager they don't. So here's one from me:

Oh, he comes on like a fright,
So full of spite.
He's got a message to dread.
He's malign,
He hates Zion,
And he's dead.

He's all glowers and scowls,
Inspires their howls.
He has a book that they've read.
He's malign,
He hates Zion,
And he's dead.

He's a Shia,
He's a plum,
He waited for the twelfth imam.
He touched their hearts,
He wouldn't stop,
Ooo, when he said they'd be on top.

He was here for a spell,
Now he's in Hell.
Al Quds Day has festered and spread.
He's malign,
He hates Zion,
And he's dead...

Zionhass in the Vancouver Sun

A Vancouver Sun reporter lets stand unchallenged the vile and outrageous claim by a Muslim that the Srebernica massacre is akin to what's happening in Gaza.

The Incredibly Biased Ceeb Surveys Media Coverage of Gaza, Concludes--Quelle Shockeroo!--That Lefty Coverage (Including Its Own) Is Fair, Unbiased

It's ever so amusing when the Ceeb, which is convinced that its leftist worldview is the only correct and proper one (when in fact it is merely the default setting of poseurs and bien pensants) takes a look at how the media are covering the Gaza conflagration. You will be told, for example, that NPR and the New York Times (flagrantly anti-Israel, the pair of 'em) are providing superb coverage; that Al Jazeera America is, like, totally on the money (or so says AJA employee Ali Velshi); and that people shouldn't be put off by headlines that displease them but should read through an article because they just might learn something new (that helpful advice courtesy ostensible conservative Jon Kay).

Update: If you share the Ceeb's bias, then you probably think its Gaza correspondent, Derek Stoffel (this is one of his typical dispatches) is doing a terrific job. If, like me, you have a different P.O.V., I think you'd agree that Stoffel is, well, awful.

The Sinai Strategem

Hamas makes a big deal about wanting to end that blockade, but it's all a sham when you realize the Jewliminations didn't need a port to amass their current stockpile of weaponry. Their evil pals (Hezbo, Syria, Iran) were able to smuggle the missiles through the Sinai, no problemo.

Jordan's Queen Shills for UNRWA. Is It for Reasons of Self-Preservation? Passive Agression? Both?

Lest we forget, our "ally" Jordan backs UNRWA (which cooperates with Hamas) in a big way:
Amman
As violence in the Gaza Strip seriously worsens the plight of the 1.8 million people trapped in the coastal enclave, support and solidarity from the international community becomes increasingly important. On 27 July UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Commissioner-General Pierre Krähenbühl met at UNRWA Headquarters in Amman with Jordan’s Queen Rania Al Abdullah to discuss the severe crisis and to express the Agency's gratitude for the support of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
"The situation in Gaza has been extreme for so many years, to the point of becoming completely unsustainable", said the Commissioner-General. "This conflict has been a terrible added blow. It is taking a staggering toll on Gaza's civilians, and will leave a lasting mark for years to come - particularly on children. During the humanitarian ceasefire declared on 26 July, there were heartbreaking scenes when scores of civilian remains were recovered from underneath destroyed homes and buildings."
The present round of Israeli military operations and ground offensive, of air-strikes and rocket fire, have left hundreds dead and thousands injured. Over 170'000 people have sought shelter in UNRWA schools, facing uncertainty, anguish and risks to their lives. UNRWA premises have been damaged in large numbers and hit directly by shelling on four separate occasions, in Maghazi Camp, in Deir el Balah and in Beit Hanoun, causing death and injury among civilians who sought protection and shelter in those very premises.
During the meeting, which included several members of the UNRWA team, Her Majesty said that the attacks on helpless civilians on UNRWA premises and other humanitarian spaces in Gaza “demonstrate the blatant disregard for human life in this conflict. What more proof does the world need that there is no safe place in Gaza? No safe place for tens of thousands of desperate and defenseless civilians seeking refuge from the violence?”
When this latest conflict broke out in Gaza, UNRWA put in place an emergency response on 7 July. It appealed for USD$115 million in order to respond to the  consequences  of the crisis, including the immediate needs of displaced Palestinians and to address the initial recovery efforts once the hostilities will have come to an end. The response of donors has been encouraging to date, for which the Agency is grateful. It has also included donations from Palestinian businesses and private persons, for which UNRWA is particularly appreciative.
Queen Rania noted that Gaza was suffering the third round of conflict in less than six years, "we need international support and international pressure to stop the extraordinary suffering that is growing by the hour.” She further stressed the need for the donor community to respond immediately to the UNRWA emergency appeal, “Gaza is a protracted humanitarian disaster; its people have been trapped in a vicious cycle of bloodshed and blockade for too long. Failure to meet the desperate needs of Gaza’s innocent civilians today would be a fundamental failure in our humanity… a total failure of our human spirit...
FYI, Gaza, which is wholly in the hands of Hamas and has been for years, still has an UNRWA "refugee camp." How ridiculous is that?

Also--I realize that Rania wants to stay in her cushy digs and ensure the Hashemite succession, but, man, what an egregious suck up she is!

"Rosa Parks WAS a Zionist"

Angry black chick Chloe Valdary speaks some harsh truths to some useful idiots:
The student organization Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) is prominent on many college campuses, preaching a mantra of “Freeing Palestine.” It masquerades as though it were a civil rights group when it is not. Indeed, as an African-American, I am highly insulted that my people’s legacy is being pilfered for such a repugnant agenda. It is thus high time to expose its agenda and lay bare some of the fallacies they peddle.
• If you seek to promulgate the legacy of early Islamic colonialists who raped and pillaged the Middle East, subjugated the indigenous peoples living in the region, and foisted upon them a life of persecution and degradation—you do not get to claim the title of “Freedom Fighter.”
• If you support a racist doctrine of Arab supremacism and wish (as a corollary of that doctrine) to destroy the Jewish state, you do not get to claim that the prejudices you peddle are forms of legitimate “resistance.”
• If your heroes are clerics who sit in Gaza plotting the genocide of a people; who place their children on rooftops in the hopes they will get blown to bits; who heap praises upon their fellow gang members when they succeed in murdering Jewish school boys and bombing places of activity where Jews congregate—you do not get to claim that you are some Apollonian advocate of human virtue. You are not.
• If your activities include grieving over the woefully incompetent performance by Hamas rocketeers and the subsequent millions of Jewish souls who are still alive—whose children were not murdered by their rockets; whose limbs were not torn from them; and whose disembowelment did not come into fruition—you do not get to claim that you stand for justice. You profess to be irreproachable. You are categorically not.
• If your idea of a righteous cause entails targeting and intimidating Jewish students on campus, arrogating their history of exile-and-return and fashioning it in your own likeness you do not get to claim that you do so in the name of civil liberty and freedom of expression.
• You do not get to champion regimes that murder, torture, and persecute their own people, deliberately keep them impoverished, and embezzle billions of dollar from them—and claim you are “pro-Arab.” You are not.
• You do not get to champion a system wherein Jews are barred from purchasing land, traveling in certain areas, and living out such an existence merely because they are Jews—and claim that you are promoting equality for all. You do not get to enable that system by pushing a boycott of Jewish owned businesses, shops, and entities—and then claim that you are “against apartheid.” That is evil.
• You do not get to justify the calculated and deliberate bombings, beatings, and lynchings of Jewish men, women, and children by referring to such heinous occurrences as part of a noble “uprising” of the oppressed—that is racism. It is evil.
• You do not get to pretend as though you and Rosa Parks would have been great buddies in the 1960s. Rosa Parks was a real Freedom Fighter. Rosa Parks was a Zionist...

Hamas Chieftan Khaled Mashaal Thinks Infidels are Stupid

The supremacist thug had a sit-down with Face the Nation's Charlie Rose on whom he tried out this wacky spin:
...Mashaal tells Charlie Rose that the Palestinian people are ready to coexist with Jews and with many other religions too, but just not with the Israeli "occupation."
"I'm ready to coexist with the Jews, with the Christians and with the Arabs and non-Arabs and with those who agree with my ideas and those who disagree with them.
However, I do not coexist with the occupiers, with the settlers," Mashaal said in response to a question asked by Rose...
The leader also stressed that the Palestinian people simply want to live in a Palestinian state.
"...We are not fanatics. We are not fundamentalists. We do not actually fight the Jews because they are Jews, per se. We do not fight any other races. We fight the occupiers," he said.
What he really means by that, of course, is that he's against "the occupation" of Israel by sovereign Jews. Jews who refuse to submit to Islamic law and pay the jizya like good little dhimmis.

As for his being neither "fanatical" nor "fundamentalist," a cursory glance at the Hamas Charter reveals that it is fundamentally fanatical and fundamentalist, and that Mashaal is therefore a master purveyor of supremacist spin, otherwise known as taqiyaah. Here's a bit of the Charter selected more or less at random:
The souls of its Jihad fighters will encounter those of all Jihad fighters who have sacrificed their lives in the land of Palestine since it was conquered by the Companion of the Prophet, be Allah’s prayer and peace upon him, and until this very day. This is the Charter of the Islamic Resistance (Hamas) which will reveal its face, unveil its identity, state its position, clarify its purpose, discuss its hopes, call for support to its cause and reinforcement, and for joining its ranks. For our struggle against the Jews is extremely wide-ranging and grave, so much so that it will need all the loyal efforts we can wield, to be followed by further steps and reinforced by successive battalions from the multifarious Arab and Islamic world, until the enemies are defeated and Allah’s victory prevails. Thus we shall perceive them approaching in the horizon, and this will be known before long: “Allah has decreed: Lo! I very shall conquer, I and my messenger, lo! Allah is strong, almighty.”
In other words "coexistence," jihad-style.

A Case of Khomeinist Inflation?

Khomeinist e-rag Crescent International claims/boasts that there were at least 25,000 pro-Gaza "protesters" at yesterday's Queen's Park Al Quds event; the Toronto Sun says there were around 5,000.

Adorable Zion-Loathing Moppet Rants About "Mr. Puppet" at Toronto's Al Quds Day

(H/t: TS)

The Most Shocking Thing I Heard Yesterday

Last night a lovely woman, a member of Israel's leftist elite, told me that Ha'aretz, that vile anti-Zionist rag, is "the only newspaper," i.e. the only paper in Israel worth reading and heeding.

The Upside of the Gaza Strife: It Thwarted a Huge Suprise Attack Via Underground Tunnels Hamas Had Planned to Coincide With the Jewish New Year

A story that should be front page news everywhere, but which has yet to hit the headlines:
“The IDF has arrested Hamas terrorists who have divulged gruesome details on a planned terror attack of immeasurable proportions. Hamas has been planning for over 10 years for this attack which was going to take place on Rosh Hashanah 2014; two months from now. They built an underground tunnel from Gaza directly into Israel with 16 exit points, and on Rosh Hashanah they were going to send over 20 terrorists – dressed as IDF soldiers – out of each one of the exits. Hundreds of terrorists dressed as IDF soldiers were going to infiltrate every town and community in southern Israel, and commit massacres and kidnappings like we’ve never seen before. God has truly protected His people, at the very last moment before the storm. The people of Israel are celebrating the many miracles that God has been doing for His people. Many spiritual leaders say that our work is to praise God for these miracles and appreciate them; otherwise the miracles will cease, God forbid, and we will be left to ‘nature’.”
All I can say is thank God Hamas didn't get to pull it off.

Update: Providence Is Not Just a City in Rhode Island

What Makes Al Quds Day Special?

Can't you feel the Judeophilia? Haven't multiculturalism and unfettered immigration brought wonderful things to the true north strong and free?

Things like brazen Islamic supremacism, for instance.

Joan Rivers Defends Israel Fearlessly, Flawlessly--A Must-See Video

Zafar Bangash's Khomeinist E-Rag Crows that Tomorrow's Al Quds Day Event in Toronto Will Be Huge, "Historic"

They're expecting the Gaza conflagration to lure a really big crowd to this year's Queen's Park seethe-a-thon:
Tens of thousands of people from all walks of life are expected to attend this year’s Quds Day rally in Toronto on July 26. Israel’s brutal war on Gaza has mobilized people and aroused deep concern for the well being of the besieged Palestinian people.

Toronto has the honour of organizing the largest of all Quds day rallies in North America. In the past, if the number was in the thousands, this year it is expected to be in the tens of thousands.

One estimate puts the number of people expected to attend at between 25,000 to 30,000. This number could easily be surpassed since in recent days, huge rallies have been held to protest Zionist Israel’s brutal assault on Gaza that has resulted in nearly 800 deaths, the vast majority of them civilians.

The Zionist invading army has bombed people’s homes, schools, centers for the disabled as well as hospitals. All these constitute war crimes...
You know what's a real crime? That, in the throes of a multiculti reverie, we have opened our doors to "tens of thousands" of Islamic supremacists who hate the Jews like poison (after all, in their end-of-days narrative, all Jewry must be toast as a precondition for their Messiah's comeback), and who share our Canadian values not a whit.

Useful Idiocy With a Side of Kosher Dills--It's the Pits

Toronto delicatessen purveyor Zane Caplansky has signed on to sponsor this year's Toronto Palestine Film Festival. (Eliminationist Palestine House, site of a recent riot, was among last year's sponsors). The Toronto Star scribbler approves--big time--of course:
Caplansky, who describes his position as “anti-war,” said he has been struck by the “disgusting” and “brutal” nature of status updates on Facebook, which has become a magnet for extreme views.
“There’s a war going on. Hundreds of people have been killed,” he said. “You can’t tell me something positive is going to come out of it.”
Seeking to inject some calm into the discussion, he chose this week to announce his support for the film festival’s outdoor screening in Christie Pits Park on Aug. 8.
“Caplansky’s Deli is sponsoring the Palestinian Film Festival,” he posted on the social media site on Wednesday.
Within 24 hours, his matter-of-fact post had garnered more than 150 “likes” and dozens of positive comments.
“The path to peace is through breaking bread … with spicy mustard and pastrami,” one friend offered.
Others simply called him a “mensch.”
Others simply call him a "moron"--and not only because he's tone deaf to the significance of holding this festival at Christie Pits, site of a famous anti-Jewish riot that occurred in the same year that saw Hitler come to power. (The implication being--what?--that what the Jews were back then the Palestinians are today? Gee, Zane, have you read the Hamas Charter?)

Artie Erdogan's "Genocide" Problems

It's pretty rich that the Turkish Islamist who bellows that what Israel is doing in Gaza "surpasses" what Hitler did to the Jews is the same dude who has never fully come to terms with Turkey's genocide of Armenians.

Toronto Sun Columnist Farzana Hazan Calls for Palestinians to Defeat the Hamas Death Cult

She writes:
Palestinians should seize this opportunity [the election scheduled for October] to choose the kind of security seven years of Hamas control has not delivered them.
Unfortunately, too many see Hamas as their only path to salvation.
In fact, Hamas is the main cause of their misery.
True, Fatah, its rival political faction, has been ineffective and corrupt.
However, the first step towards improvement in the lot of the Palestinians is to vote for a party whose vision goes beyond medieval notions of martyrdom.
Yes, because the party that's pushing the modern notion of the Palestinians' "right of return" (and that makes common cause with Hamas) is a much better option, right?

Isn't the first step to acknowledge that Israel is in the crosshairs of the global jihad (a Medieval effort that is still going like gangbusters today), and that both Fatah and Hamas are waging it?

Second step: dismantle UNRWA, the UN Agency that's essentially an arm of Hamas and that, in maintaining Palestinians as permanent refugees, a status accorded to no other people, has sabotaged the very notion of long-term peace (which is sort of the point of having an UNRWA--to keep Palestinians angry and miserable so they will forever be a thorn in Israel's flesh).

Third step: buh bye, Khameini.

Western Bleeding Hearts Pressured Israel to Ease Up on Restrictions of Construction Materials for Gaza--With Predictable Results

Israel was right, the bleeding hearts were wrong, same old, same old:
For years, human-rights groups, diplomats, pundits, and other opinion leaders demanded an end to the “siege” of Gaza, and eventually, they succeeded. President Barack Obama deserves special mention here; it was he who, after Israel’s botched raid on a flotilla to Gaza in 2010, twisted Israel’s arm into drastically easing its import controls. The pressure increased again after Egypt tightened its own blockade of Gaza last year, leading Israel to remove all remaining restrictions on construction materials like cement and iron.
Most of those who pressed Israel on this issue sincerely wanted to improve Palestinian lives: Eliminating import restrictions, they argued, would let Gaza residents build homes and businesses, improve the economy, and generally contribute to Palestinian wellbeing. So they blithely dismissed Israel’s warnings that these materials would actually be used not to help ordinary Palestinians, but to build Hamas’s terror infrastructure.
We now know Israel’s warnings were 100 percent correct...
With Gaza now a maze of underground tunnels, that is cold comfort, indeed.

Song for Al Quds Day "Protesters"

This one goes out to "Babyface" Bangash and his Queen's Park co-Khomeinists:

Zionhass,
They've got an awful case of Zionhass.
The detest Is-ra-el and love Hamas:
Zionhass.
Their foul hearts a-pumpin',
Who'll give the Joooos a thumpin'?
Zionhass,
The bad PR for Is-ra-el
Is a big plus.
The Mideast will be fine
Once it is Zionrein:
That's the goal of Zionhass.

Where Did the "Gay" in "Gay Pride" Go?

I'm not the only one to have noticed that that LGBT... thing has grown a tad unwieldy, including, as it does, almost every identity permutation in the non-hetero world. Someone who identifies as "gay" is peeved that, because of this excessive inclusivity, his letter has gotten lost in the shuffle (so to speak):
In an opinion piece titled “Where did the ‘Gay’ in ‘Gay Pride’ go?” published in The Advocate, Amin Ghaziani says that 45 years after the Stonewall Riots in New York — demonstrations in response police raids at a gay bars that are regarded as a catalyst for the LGBTQ movement — the term “gay pride” has been dropped in favour of just “pride.”
“We have said goodbye to ‘gay,’” he writes.
In an interview Tuesday, Ghaziani said the goal of the article is “to encourage people to think about how often we use just the word ‘pride’ as a placeholder for something more specific, and what does it mean when we do that.
“Doing so detaches, it removes any specific community from that event. Inadvertently those communities become silenced and that’s potentially dangerous. What we want to prevent is a re-closeting of individuals that have worked so hard to be visible.”
Ghaziani posits that there are two reasons why the word “gay” has disappeared when talking about pride. One is that it helps some straight people feel less discomfort about being in gay spaces. The other is that it’s used by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer/Questioning, 2 Spirited and Allies communities in an effort to be inclusive rather inadvertently exclusive.
Caryl Dolinko, communications co-ordinator for the Vancouver Pride Society, which organizes the city’s Pride celebrations, believes “gay” does not encompass the vast community that now exists.
“(Pride) is an all-encompassing term that invites all members of the rainbow to join,” Dolinko said. “There are different communities that have different needs and by calling pride ‘gay pride’ it does not address that.”
Dolinko said that so far there’s no term that takes in the interests of all of the communities involved. Even the term “queer,” which is generally accepted by the younger generation, is fraught because of its negative association.
“There’s not one word for everybody because the community is so diverse,” said Dolinko, who identifies as a lesbian.
“At least we’ve got an alphabet that is OK for us to label ourselves here. Thank God we live in a city and a country where I can be an L, a G, a B, a T, a Q, whatever.”...
"Whatever"--you took the word right out of my mouth.

That's Michael "Rich as Croesus" Moore with a moustache

CASMO's App Crap

The Canadian Khomeinists think it's great that there's a app that can tell you which products are Israeli, so you can not buy 'em. (That's showing 'em--how?) Here's the thing, though: the app--which, after all is call Buycott--can also identify Israeli products for those who do wish to buy 'em.

What Khomeinists and their ilk really need is a jihad app, one that would identify local Jewish owned business and properties (what's that old saying about the jihad again? Oh, yeah--"think globally, smash locally"); an app that would complement the zany Zionhass on CASMO's Facebook page.

No "Anti-Semitism," Eh? Don't Make Me Laugh

Anti-Israel protest in Ottawa not overtly anti-Semitic say observers

They were hoisting flags of eliminationist Hamas. They were chanting, "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."

How much more "overtly" anti-Semitic can you get?

What--they think because there were no swastikas and they weren't chanting "Kill the Jews!" it wasn't "anti-Semitic"?

Reason enough to mothball the archaic and confusing terms "anti-Semitic"/"anti-Semitism" and replace 'em with Zion-loathing and Zionhass.

Update: A chant to counter the "river/sea" one: From the river to the sea, Israel will always be!

Mark Levin's Epic Rant Takes on Jon Stewart's "Putrid" Comedy

He said this on the Hannity show:
LEVIN: And that particular segment -- I don't watch him, but I watched this -- well, I watched this segment on the Internet, and the disinformation and the propaganda he was putting out in the form of jokes was outrageous! And I would just tell Mr. Stewart that it really doesn't take a lot of courage to criticize Israel and trash Israel. It's done all the time. It's done by Israel's, quote, unquote, "neighbors." It's done in Europe right now, where Jewish stores and so forth are being burned down and there's riots. It's done in Boston and New York, where the police have had to come out and protect pro-Israeli rallies and so forth. So you're not really a tough guy. You're not really cutting-edge.

And the fact of the matter, Mr. Stewart, is that if Hamas had the weaponry that Israel had, nuclear weapons and other weapons, Israel would cease to exist. And if Israel wanted to take out whole communities in Gaza, or the whole Gaza strip, they could do so in about 30 minutes. And it doesn't.

This is the only country I know of that has thousands of missiles rained in on it, missiles coming from Iran through Hezbollah to Hamas, a country that agrees to a cease-fire that was negotiated by Egypt and the Arab League, and still has to tolerate these attacks. And even today, Sean, a missile came very close to Ben Gurion airport. They shut down the airport now to international traffic. The United States did. So now Israel is isolated in that way.

Can you imagine? The Gaza strip is relatively distant from Ben Gurion airport. The West Bank is very close. So what this demonstrates is Israel must never demilitarize or give up the West Bank because it will lose all control over its security!

So I -- I thought Jon Stewart -- I don't think he's funny. I don't think he's smart. How can he be, 10, 30 writers? But I thought this particular segment was really putrid...
Read it all, for 'tis righteous and exhilarating.

The Ceeb's Unintentional, Very Dark Humour: Organizers of the Violent, Pro-Hamas Calgary Riot "Hope the Message of Rally Not Missed by Outbursts"

No worries there, "organizers" and your Ceeb apologists. I'd say the message "Kill the Jew!" comes through loud and clear.

Update: More Ceeb black comedy, this time in a report about a would-be majaheed who seems to have given the RCMP the slip:
RCMP said the man is believed to have travelled to [Syria] to join Islamist fighters.

A woman who answered the phone at Yusufzai's home said he wasn't there, then said she didn't speak English.
That's hardly a shockeroo.

That Darn President

A TV show starring Barack Hussein Obama as the POTUS, and Dave Burge, a.k.a. Iowahawk, as his wacky next door neighbor.

"Hitler Would Be Proud" as Zionhass Convulses Londonistan

Douglas Murray writes (in The Spectator) about the city's recent pro-Gaza festivities:
Thousands of anti-Semites have today succeeded in bringing central London to an almost total standstill.
They marched though the centre of the city before congregating to scream outside the Israeli Embassy in Kensington. It was interesting to watch this rather non-diverse crowd pass. Most of the women seem to be wearing headscarves or the burka, while their men-folk were naturally more appropriately dressed for a sweltering summer day.
But what a picture. These are the people who stayed at home throughout the Syrian civil war, stayed at home when ISIS rampaged across Iraq, stayed at home when Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab carried out their atrocities across central Africa and showed no concern whatsoever when the Muslim Brotherhood was running Egypt into the ground. Yet they pretend to care about Muslims.
And here they all are, coming out to scream because Israel is carrying out the most specific and targeted campaign in the history of warfare in order to stop Hamas – a group dedicated to the annihilation of all Jews – from firing thousands of rockets into the Jewish homeland.

I suppose some of the people in London today might still try to pretend that they don’t hate Jews. Perhaps some of them would not even do what their co-religionists in France did last week when – intent on violence – they blockaded worshippers inside a Synagogue. But there is only one explanation for their horrible beliefs and actions.
So, yes, Hitler would be proud--of the "protesters."

Hamas Turns Gazans Into Human Shields But UN "Human Rights" Chief Navi Pillay Says Israel Has Committed a "War Crime" When They're Killed

This from a chick who heads up what is arguably the most ridiculous and Zion-loathing of UN entities.

Looked at from Pillay's P.O.V., there's only one way for Israel to not commit war crimes--by allowing Hamas to launch missiles at Israeli civilians whenever and wherever it wants.

Beware of Useful Idiots Who Are Blind to Jihad

There are some who watch this video and who claim to be moved to tears by it. Others of us, however, are left cold. We know that Israel and all Jewry are in the crosshairs of the jihad, and that this video's insane feel-goodism, its mush-brained moral equivalence, serves only to aid and abet the greatest evil of our day.

Is Islamic Relief Canada Funding Hamas?

It's a question I asked and now it appears someone else has, too.

Cease In Our Time?

John Kerry arrives in Cairo in bid to broker cease fire between Israel and Hamas

U.S. Sending More "Humanitarian Aid" Moolah to Hamas

Madly and maddeningly, the U.S. is sending a good chunk of the aid money to UNWRA.

Yes, UNRWA:
Today, Secretary of State John Kerry announced that the United States is providing $47 million to help address the humanitarian situation in Gaza. This assistance includes:
  • An initial $15 million contribution to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in response to UNRWA’s $60 million Gaza Flash Appeal;
  • $3.5 million in emergency relief assistance from USAID’s Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA);
  • $10 million in existing USAID bilateral funding, redirected to meet immediate humanitarian needs; and
  • $18.5 million in new USAID bilateral funding for humanitarian and emergency relief assistance.
These funds will provide critical humanitarian aid, including shelter, food, and medical supplies to Palestinians in Gaza. The United States remains committed to addressing the humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people, and will continue to monitor the humanitarian situation closely.
Gee, John, why bother going through UNRWA--which subsidizes and is in the pocket of Hamas? Why not bypass the middleman and give it to Hamas directly?

CASMO Appropriates Nelson Mandela to Serve Its Khomeinist Ends

Well, you really can't blame these Shias, sponsors of the upcoming Al Quds Day seethe-a-thon at Queen's Park (it's this Saturday). After all, if you want to persuade gullible Canadians that you're on the side of the angels--and that your enemy, Israel (a.k.a. "Little Satan"), is an "apartheid state"--you'll go a lot farther by using this guy's image

Update: BCF reminded me that it wasn't so long ago that CASMO featured ex-KKK chief David Duke on its website. From Duke to Mandela in no time flat: you can't say the Khomeinists aren't rank opportunists.

Hey, Wasn't Canada's Trudeaupian Doctrine of "Multiculturalism" Supposd to Keep Jewry Safe From Pathological Jew-Hate/Jew-Haters?

Funny how it hasn't exactly worked out that way. What do you expect, though, when, in the name of multiculturalism, you import Jew-haters from Islamic lands where Zionhass is in their mother's milk?

Update: Non-Aryan, non-Nazi "protesters" in Berlin chant: ‘Jew, Jew, Cowardly Pig, Come on out and Fight’.

Great Line Du Jour

Mark Steyn writes:
In the Sixties and Seventies, many anti-colonial movements used terrorism to advance their nationalist goals. Hamas uses nationalism to advance its terrorist goals.
So true. Hamas could care less about "Palestine" (and "Palestinians") per se. It pledges allegiance to one ummah, under Allah, with "freedom" and "justice" (in the Islamic sense) for all true believers.

"When You Protest for Palestine You KNOW You'll Be in the Company of People Calling for Jews to be Gassed"

This Pat Condell video is from a few years ago but its message seems especially timely right now.

Botox Failure?

"John Kerry's face dropped. Literally." when Chris Wallace did a "gotcha" re Kerry's anti-Israel diss, spoken when he thought his mic was off.

Ottawa Selected to Host "One Young World" Summit--Whoop Dee Doo

This sounds ghastly--typical leftist bafflegab/indoctrination that is little more than a semi-disguised wealth redistribution scheme, and that is doing incalculable harm to our young'uns (and to the world):
Ottawa has been selected the host city for the 2016 One Young World Conference.
In two years, more than 1,000 international leaders, young and old, will come to the city to make lasting connections with the goal of creating positive change.
Glenn Duncan organized Ottawa’s bid and toured the deciding committee last month through the capital.
“You can probably see the smile on my face,” said Duncan at Monday morning’s early announcement live-streamed in from London, England. “It’s a great day for Ottawa.
“Our time is now.”
Ottawa beat out Hong Kong, Bangkok, Thailand and Kobe, Japan to host the One Young World summit in 2016.
Mayor Jim Watson and others were at a party before 7 a.m. Monday, awaiting the decision by the UK-based not-for-profit that brings together the brightest young people from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change.
Swell. Just...swell.

Update: Here's the "inspirational" story of a One Young World delegate from Gaza.

Hamas Rocketfire Cooked Up by Iran

While some media outlets continue to push the "home-made Hamas rockets" trope, the truth re the projectiles' provenance remains in plain sight:
Ali Hashem writes that since 2006, Iran has helped Hamas develop an indigenous rocket capability.
“According to information acquired by Al-Monitor from sources in Tehran, Gaza and Beirut, a new strategy was adopted after the July/August 2006 war in Lebanon with respect to military support. The main goal was protecting the fighting groups from the danger of a military siege by making them capable of producing as many rockets as they need on the spot,” Hashem reports.
A senior Hamas official told Palestine Pulse’s Adnan Abu Amer, “Another motive that led [the Izz ad-Din] al-Qassam [Brigades] to start local production of rockets is the closure of tunnels by Egypt. This restricted the entry of raw materials needed for the manufacturing of rockets. However, despite the cut-off of the main source of supply of al-Qassam with rockets of multiple ranges from different origins, this did not prevent it from producing local rockets reaching targets deeper inside Israel.”
“The Iranians essentially smuggled in rockets via the brains of Palestinians, keeping rocket-making knowledge intact despite wars and attacks. It’s the same strategy the Iranians adopted in their nuclear program, under the philosophy that knowledge can’t be bombed,” Hashem adds.

What Do a Kid's Playground, a Mosque, a Hospital and a Cemetary Have in Common?

They are all Hamas rocket launch sites in Gaza.

Mullah Rapes 10-Year-Old Girl in Mosque; Her Family Wants to "Honour" Kill Her For the Shame She's Brought on the Family

This is Afghanistan in 2014:
The accused mullah, Mohammad Amin, was arrested and confessed to having sex with the girl after Koran recitation classes at the mosque on May 1, but he claimed that he thought the girl was older and that she responded to his advances.
The girl’s own testimony, and medical evidence, supported a rape so violent that it caused a fistula, or a break in the wall between the vagina and rectum, according to the police and the official bill of indictment. She bled so profusely after the attack that she was at one point in danger of losing her life because of a delay in getting medical care...
Honour killings in rape cases are common in Afghanistan, and are often more important to the victim’s family than vengeance against the attacker. Human rights groups say about 150 honour killings a year come to light, and many more probably go unreported.

Pro-Israel Jews Get Tossed From Gaza "Die-In" In Boston

Yes, Boston:
For the third time since last week, a handful of Jewish students with Israeli flags was surrounded by demonstrators shouting anti-Semitic epithets and – according to two of the students – a tense minute of “pushing and shoving.”
Soon after the “die-in” ended, Brett Loewenstern — a Berklee College of Music student and pro-Israel activist – entered the fray with his boyfriend, Israeli-born Avi Levi.
According to Loewenstern, he and his boyfriend’s combining of an Israeli flag with a rainbow flag – the symbol for gay rights – set off a hailstorm of insults from demonstrators.
Among other things, the shouts included “Jews back to Birkenau” and “Drop dead, you Zionazi whores,” said Loewenstern and other witnesses.
“We started to get pushed and shoved by the Israel haters, and the police came in to extract us from them,” said Loewenstern, a former contestant on American Idol who sings Israel’s national anthem at communal events.
“The policewoman was very nice and said that we were allowed to make our point but we have to do it separately from the Israel haters,” Loewenstern told the Times of Israel.
Kind of reminds me of the time a security chick told me, Sassy and BCF to leave the Al Quds Day seethe-a-thon at Queen's Park (where Hezbo flags were on prominent display) because our presence there was, in her word, "provocative."

John Kerry Mocks Israel (He Thought His Mic Was Off)

Zionhass in Londonistan

It's all about the Gaza chilllllddddrrrennnn, right?
These are the people who stayed at home throughout the Syrian civil war, stayed at home when ISIS rampaged across Iraq, stayed at home when Boko Haram and Al-Shabaab carried out their atrocities across central Africa and showed no concern whatsoever when the Muslim Brotherhood was running Egypt into the ground. Yet they pretend to care about Muslims.

Perhaps some of them would not even do what their co-religionists in France did last week when – intent on violence – they blockaded worshippers inside a Synagogue. Maybe not.

Hamas Announces Plans to Outfit "Youth" With Hand Grenades and Send Them Out to Meet Up With IDF Soldiers

Of all the sick enemies the Jews have faced over the centuries, including the Nazis, Hamas may well be the sickest. (If you've been following things on Ceeb radio, you may have noticed that reporter Derek Stoffel often refers to Hamas's "military wing," the inference being that Hamas has a "non-military" wing that's, you know, an entirely separate and different entity. In that sense, the Ceeb is pretty sick, too.)

Gaza Protest in Toronto: As Always, the Reprehensible Ceeb Protects the Zion-Loathers, Fails to Report on the Genocidal Zionhass

The protest in Toronto wasn't as incendiary as it was in, say, Paris. But they say we're a few years behind Europe in that respect. Here's the Ceeb's version of the event, which has been scrubbed clean of every last trace of Zionhass, the genocidal Jew-hate of our time:
In Toronto, demonstrators held signs with slogans like "Gaza needs more than our prayers," chanting "free, free Palestine," across the street from the Israeli Consulate.
Organizer Hind Awwad said the rally was drawing attention to what she calls "Israel's ongoing aggression."
She said the Harper government's "unwavering support" of Israel amounts to complicity in "crimes in the Gaza Strip."
"We're here to raise our voices and say Israel must be pressured," she said, adding that protesters are calling for sanctions.
Aidan Macdonald, who is also an organizer with the Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid, said the goal was to "express solidarity" with Palestinians.
Organizer BeHind, BTW, calls herself "a third-generation Palestinian refugee," and is heavy into the BDS mishegas.

Oddly enough, the Sun's Michael Coren went to the protest and came away with an entirely different impression. This is what he saw--and it's evident that the "solidarity" was rather ancillary to the main event (i.e. the flagrant Zionhass):
“The Jews control the media, control the banks, control governments, control everything,” shouted the man in front of me, cheered on by a mob of men and women who quickly assembled around him.
“Will I condemn the murder of the three Israeli teens? Speak sense! They were killed in a car accident two weeks earlier and used by the Zionists to justify the holocaust on Gaza. Their families were part of the plot.” More cheering.
Welcome to the wonderful world of a Toronto protest against the Israeli response to Hamas and its killing of Jewish kids and firing of thousands of rockets into Israel...
If you're a lefty and/or Islamist Zion-loather, it is indeed a wonderful world because you can always count on the state broadcaster, which shares your animus toward Israel, to have your back and hide your evil intent from the public. Coren, meanwhile and more honestly, calls the protesters "fanatics" and "ghouls" who long for "a Jew-free" (or Judenrein, in Nazi parlance) Middle East.

Useful Idiot Elizabeth May and Her Greens Condemn Israel's "Illegal Settlements"

FYI Lizzie, you imbecile, they're not "illegal." But if you have to trash Israel at this particular moment, how about condemning those Hamas tunnels, too?

Do Bee a Zion-Loather/Widdle Shahid

The difference between Jews and Arabs, writes Glenn Fairman on the American Thinker site, is crystallized and epitomized by a giant fuzzy bee:
While the one-year-old granddaughter of Hamas’ prime minister Ismail Haniyah finds succor from a grave malady in a hated Israeli hospital, and Jews who are quick to return blessings for curses spend a terrorized existence waiting for the next shoe to drop in their bomb shelters, it is the Children of Gaza who suffer the mightiest indignation by moral gargoyles who harbor no qualm in sacrificing one generation on behalf of another. It is one thing to perish at the business end of a bullet in this eternal conflict, but quite another to have one’s humanity and innocence ground away like pumice. To bring about this metamorphosis, every child in the Palestinian (and Arab) world is fed a gourmet indoctrination of hate where Jews are categorized as pigs and dogs. Today, Palestinian children are feted to a “Sesame Street” styled “wall of hate” that dehumanizes Israelis and lays the apologetic groundwork to justify the litany of atrocities committed to absolve every Arab dishonor incurred since the “unspeakable nakba” As a case in point, Memri TV, that unsleeping chronicler of Arab media perfidy, has translated a children’s show where a Disneyesque bumblebee named Nahoul urges kindergarteners to pick up rocks and reduce the faces of Jews to that of tomatoes.
BTW, Nahoul the bee died a martyr's death some years ago, as did his predecessor, Farfour the mouse, and as did Nahoul's successor, Assud the Jew-eating rabbit.

Sorry to deploy a tired old cliché, but those gibungous Palestinian kiddie TV characters seem to be dropping like flies.

Also--it's extremely humane of Israel to treat the heinous Haniyah's grandkid, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if she grows up to despise "the Jews" every bit as much as her grandpa does--and maybe hate them even more because, after all, the Jews saved her life, and it is intolerable to have to feel beholden to them.
