Open Mike: Honest Reporting's Mike Fegelman Writes an Letter to Toronto Star Editor Michael Cooke

The Toronto Star is up to its old Zion-loathing shenanigans again. HR's Mike tells the Star's Mike that his paper is entitled to its own biases but not to its own Big Lies.

That's So Ceeb!

Who else but the hard-leftist CBC (where nary is heard an encouraging word about Israel) would make a point of covering the Palestinian Olympics team?

Andrew Bostom: "We Can Have Genuine, Deep Sympathy for the Khan Family's loss, and Still Disagree With Khizr Khan's Misrepresentation of the Constitution"

Exactly.

Gill Troy: Some Questions Pro-Israel Jewish Democrats Should Ask Hillary

Professor Troy has three of 'em. I have but one: Mrs. Clinton, re Israel are you planning to continue in the same vein as Barack Obama, a POTUS with a soft spot for Islam (and Iran) and a hate-on for the Jewish state?

Update: Remember Mary McCarthy's great line about Lillian Hellman--that everything she wrote was a lie including "and" and "the"?

Same goes for Mrs. C.'s utterances.

The New York Tiimes Prints Utter Drivel About the (Non-Existent) Threat to a Free Press In Israel

No surprise there since trashing Israel whenever it can is pretty much the Grey Lady's M.O. (Its motto should really be: "All the news that's feh to print.")

Ukraine Honours Two Local "Heroes" By Naming Streets in Kiev After Them

No biggie save for the unfortunate fact that, during WW2, these "heroes" slaughtered Ukrainian Jews by the thousands:
[I]n early July, Kiev named a major boulevard in honor of Stepan Bandera, and the city plans on naming another for Roman Shukhevych. Both these men were leaders accused of Nazi atrocities. And the people seeking to rehabilitate these men are winning support from influential Jewish leaders.
Ukraine’s whitewashing of history is focused mostly on transforming the image of two controversial World War II Ukrainian partisan groups, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, as well as that of their leader, Bandera. They were responsible for the slaughter of thousands of Jews and over 100,000 Poles, but now they’re painted as freedom fighters and tragic victims. Throughout this process, some Ukrainian Jewish leaders have expressed concern, but others have found ways to condone it.
On May 25, the Ukrainian Parliament held a moment of silence in honor of Symon Petliura, a nationalist responsible for the murder of 50,000 Jews in the early 20th century. When asked for a response, Josef Zissels, chairman of the Vaad organization of Ukrainian Jews, told JTA that worrying about Petliura “leads to unnecessary assignment of blame.” The same article quotes Zissels’s earlier statement that Jews, after all, also did terrible things to Ukrainians.
The whitewashing, now a disturbingly widespread phenomenon, ramped up in earnest after Ukraine’s 2013–2014 Maidan uprising and the ensuing conflict with Russia...
I have Ukrainian heritage on my father's side. Fortunately for him (and me), his parents left that domain of Judenhass long before these horrors unfolded.

Oberlin Odium

The alumni of Oberlin, the ultra-lefty college that numbers Lena Dunham as an alumnus, are said to be up in arms about an assistant prof at that august institution who insists that Jewry/Israel are responsible for engineering the 9/11 attacks.

Well-meaning those these alumni may be, they are not serving the cause of free speech with this demand. A better strategy, I suggest, would be to debunk everything the woman has to say and to condemn her for spewing such obvious lies.

The point being that unless this woman's freedom to speak--and to speak stupidly--is defended, you will have that much harder a time defending the right of pro-Israel professor to speak in a positive way about Jewry and Zionists.

Oh the Shias Hate the Sunnis and the Sunnis Hate the Shias...

And that, contrary to the insistence of that great scholar of Islam, Barack Hussein Obama, is why Muslim-on-Muslim terrorism is not--is any but--"un-Islamic."

In the August Crescent: A Khomeinist From Toronto Responds to "Zionist Hysteria" About Al Quds Day

When Jews push back against the hated and bigotry of Shia Zion-loathers taking their cues from the horrible Grandiose Ayatollahh , the best (actually, the only) way to get back at them is to accuse them of being they hysterics.

In this month's Crescent, the e-zine of Al Quds Day revelers, a Zion-despiser shows how it's done:

Zionist hysteria over Quds Rally

zionist-hysteria-over-quds-rally-5439-articles.html August, 2016
Reader Ahmed Mohamad Ali explains why the Zionists are getting hysterical about the success of Quds rallies in Toronto.

Every year, Muslims and justice-seeking people participate in Quds Day rallies all over the world. Toronto is one of the major cities where Quds rallies attract a very large number of people, supporters and otherwise. This year was no exception. Thousands attended the rally that was and has always been completely peaceful except for the Jewish Defence [Offense] League (JDL) thugs who indulge in violence.
The Zionists have gone berserk over the success of Quds Day rallies in Toronto. From blackmailing officials, the Zionists have now started making scandalous allegations against some of the speakers. Like the illegitimate entity they support, the Zionists, as compulsive liars, are not ashamed to make false allegations. They will fail in this as they have in preventing the Quds Day rallies from being held. People are no longer prepared to put up with Zionist racists and bigots.

"People are no longer prepared to put up with Zionist racists and bigots," eh?

Sounds like a not-so-veiled threat of violence to me.

Also--doesn't that stuff about "the Zionists" blackmailing people and being compulsive liars who make "false" allegations (such as what--that Khamenei wants to wipe Israel off the map?) constitute defamation, and is therefore actionable?
