'Martyr' Boat Chugs Toward Gaza

The news that the Irish-flagged ship the Rachel Corrie is even now making its way toward Gaza inspired me to snatch this one--a Corrie-themed "Battle Hymn of the Republic'--from the archives; the final verse was updated to reflect current events:

Oh, my name is Rachel Corrie,
I was squashed by a machine.
I went to help the victimized
To whom the Jews were mean.
The way they've turned me into
An Anne Frank is quite obscene.
The truth has gone astray.

Glory, glory, Rachel Corrie.
Glory, glory, Rachel Corrie.
Glory, glory, Rachel Corrie.
The truth is M.I.A.

An ordinary girl next door who didn’t have a clue.
The ISM recruited me to join the “Nakba” crew.
A useful idiot who could be used against “the Jew”.
A 'martyr' pure and true.

Glory, glory, Rachel Corrie.
Glory, glory, Rachel Corrie.
Glory, glory, Rachel Corrie.
The truth is so passé .

And now my name is on a boat
That's breaking a blockade.
The latest twist and turn in the whole
Corrie escapade.
The propaganda value of my death'll never fade.
My "truth" goes sailing on.

Glory, glory, Rachel Corrie,
Glory, glory, Rachel Corrie
My “truth” goes sailing on…

Why am I singing??:) S. I like your version better than the orginal.. it makes more sense to the "maintenant" of my thinking. Except Glory and Rachel Corrie didn't sit well with me so hope you don't mind I just sang, "Gory, gory,Rachel Corrie".
May your good soul forgive me!:)

The "glory, glory" was meant ironically, but your version works too.
