Zion-Bashing Brits Heart Plucky Dead Gal Diarist

I'm sure there are Jews who will be thrilled to learn that Anne Frank ranks #8 on the list of women the Brits say are their most important "role models." (Margaret Thatcher tops the list, while AbFab's Joanna Lumley, at #7, comes just ahead of our Anne, which tells you a lot about this insipid and ultimately meaningless poll.) Personally, I'd be far more impressed had the role model been a living Jewess--say, Melanie Phillips: For the Zion-loathing Brits, Anne Frank, the quintessential Nazi victim/dead Jew/proto-Rachel Corey, is oh so easy to love.
