Israel's "Pal" Jordan Observes Moment of Silence for Yesterday's Synagogue Attack in Jerusalem
Unfortunately, Jordanian lawmakers were observing it to remember the perpetrators, not the victims, of the savagery.

"Government-Induced Chaos at Home; Moral Equivalence Abroad"
As the sublime VDH explains, that's what happens when you elevate a "community organizer" (a lightweight and an enigma who enables leftists to expunge their guilt and onto whom they can project all their utopian dreams) to the highest office in the land.
The Twitter Intifada
It's hardly a shockeroo that Palestinian jihadis would use social media to goad one another into committing acts of savagery against Jews.
That's what happens when a 7th century mindset is married to 21st Century technology.

Obama's Bizarre Unpacking of the Beheading of an American "Revert"
Mona Charen writes that, weirdly but not unexpectedly, Obama the Groveling accorded the coerced reversion--obviously, a desperate bid by the "revert" to fend off his own beheading--a respect that it did not deserve:
President Obama condemned the atrocity, saying that Kassig “was taken from us in an act of pure evil by a terrorist group.” He continued, “While ISIL revels in the slaughter of innocents, including Muslims, and is bent only on sowing death and destruction, Abdul-Rahman was a humanitarian who worked to save the lives of Syrians injured and dispossessed by the Syrian conflict.”
Hold on. Peter Kassig converted to Islam and took the name Abdul-Rahman, but only in captivity. President Obama’s insistence upon using his Islamic name reflects his continuing belief that by denying Islamic extremism, he can promote peace. “ISIL’s actions represent no faith,” he said, “least of all the Muslim faith which Abdul-Rahman adopted as his own.”
When someone converts at the point of a sword, in hopes of saving his life, is that “adopting the Muslim faith as his own”? Whom is Mr. Obama respecting by using the Islamic name — Kassig, or his executioners?I think the answer to that one is apparent to all who care to see it.
American Misperception About Number of Muslims in U.S. a Function of "Islamophobia"
Since the perception is vastly out of whack with the reality, what else but "Islamophobia" could it be (is what this article asks and answers unequivocally)?:
A new poll conducted by Ipsos MORI, the second largest polling organization in the United Kingdom, tracks perceptions varying nationalities have about the demographics of their own country. The results reveal the incredible disparity between our perception of the Muslim population and the reality in the US. And while the poll can’t reveal the motivations behind the way Americans answered, drawing a connection between our demographic misperceptions and the current media and political fixation on radical Islam seems reasonable.
According to the new poll, US citizens guessed the Muslim population of the US to be about 15 percent when asked “Out of every 100 people, how many do you think are Muslim?” This would mean that the US has 47.4 million Muslims. The reality is quite different, with current research putting the percentage of Muslims in the United States at about .8 percent of the population, with an estimated 2.6 million Muslims in the US as of 2010. Even higher estimates find that there are between five and eight million Muslims in the entire country.
This incredible disparity between reality and perceptions regarding the Muslim population in the US is indicative of American fears regarding Islamic terrorism. It has been so consistently trumped up by our media and our politicians, so consistently been conflated with Muslims generally, that the US respondent imagines the Muslim “threat” to be immense. The view that a large portion of the US population is Muslim results in spectacles like state legislatures passing panicked laws against “creeping Sharia.”...Silly infidels! Don't they know that there's absotively nothing to worry about?

Baroness Warsi's Abominable Babble
She equates the savagery of the two Jerusalem jihadis with Jews who want to pray on the Temple Mount:
Former Cabinet Minister Sayeeda Warsi has compared the terrorists who killed four Jews praying at synagogue in Jerusalem with the Israelis who campaign outside the Al Aqsa mosque.
In a series of tweets, she wrote: “Israeli extremists storm Al Aqsa & intimidate worshipers. Palestinian extremists storm synagogue & kill 4 worshippers.”
She added: “Both @David_Cameron & @Ed_Miliband say a Palestinian life is equal to an Israeli life so let's ALL condemn the killing on BOTH sides.”...No, let's condemn the jihad and its "kill the infidels" credo. That's where the problem lies, Baroness.
Chicks Who Want to Be Cops in "Moderate" Indonesia Must Pass a "Two-Finger" Virginity Test
Nothing creepy/pervy about that, right? (My question: are they allowed to work when they're on the rag, or like menstruating chicks at Valley Park Middle School, do they have to sit things out until the bleeding passes?)
"Murdered, Because They Were Jews"--Yes, By Jihadis Inspired by the Ways and Words of Islam's Founder
While condemning the savages who shouted "Allahu Akbar" as they went about their butchery in a Jerusalem synagogue yesterday, Tarek Fatah is insistent that it is a mistake to link it to the actions of Islam's founder:
The biography of Prophet Muhammad, “the Sira” is considered the authentic story of his life and is part of the Islamic faith, together with the Qur’an and Hadith.
According to the Sira, in the year 627CE, after a Jewish tribe surrendered to the Islamic army in the city of Medina, Prophet Muhammad personally beheaded 600 to 800 Jewish adult male prisoners of war, thus laying the template of dealing with Jews caught in battle for all times.
In my book, The Jew is Not My Enemy my research suggests the story is a creation of later Muslim kings, 200 years after the incident.
These were men who crafted a backdated precedent to justify their own murderous acts.
But my view is almost universally rejected. One appreciates Fatah's courage in condemning these two Palestinian jihadis. However, it would have been far more helpful if, instead of trying to sanitize ProMu's actions, Fatah were to say something along these lines: "You know, Islam's founder did a lot of things that were, shall we say, problematic, and that should definitely not be emulated." As a practicing Muslim, though, Fatah believes that Islam's founder is flawless and therefore unassailable. The same, alas, cannot be said of Fatah's "views," which are shot through with flaws, and which serve to whitewash some of the worst aspects of Islam.
