Hollywood F**k Up Lindsay Lohan, A Really "Spiritual" Chick, Is Said To Be "Exploring" Islam

Well, that's one way to get your name in the news:

“I’m a very spiritual person and I’m really open to learning,” the Catholic-born actress told The Sun on her interest in Islam. 

Lohan, 29, who was spotted carrying a copy of the Koran while tending to her community service in New York last summer, also said there’s more to the text than what many people have been led to believe. 

“America has portrayed holding a Koran in such a different way to what it actually is,” she explained, despite having yet to complete it. 

“I’m not done reading it. Do you know how long that would take? It takes so long,” Lohan said...

I totally get where she's coming from. After all, if the only stuff you're used to reading is Archie comics and the supermarket 'bloids, reading the entire Koran is likely to tie you up for, well, years. (It's not unlike the time Marilyn Monroe pretended to read Ulysses.)

The 9/11 attacks were intentional. They had an apparent, deliberate cause.

At the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Istanbul, it was proposed that a “European Muslims group” should be formed. There is an Asia group, an Arab group and an Africa group in the OIC, so why should there not be a Europe group?

Of course, when one says “Islam” and “Europe,” colossal issues and hopes come to mind.

The suggestion was made by Bosnia and Herzegovina President Bakir Izetbegovic, and it was supported by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. It was indeed suitable for Turkey to support it, and the suggestion was unanimously approved at the general assembly... 

Colossal hopes, eh? Yeah, I know what you mean. (Of course, when one says "Islam" and "Europe," one feels compelled to say cheerio, hasta la vista, auf wiedersehen and arrivaderci, Roma!)

We just heard this from the obnoxious character called Benjamin Netanyahu, who masquerades as the prime minister of ‘Israel’ (better known as Occupied Palestine) proclaim that Syria’s Golan Heights will forever remain part of Israel.

"The Golan Heights will remain in the hands of Israel forever,” declared the illegal immigrant to Occupied Palestine while trespassing Syrian territory on the Golan Heights today (Sunday). Showing absolute chutzpah, he even assembled his cabinet for a meeting in the occupied territory.

Netanyahu went on to say that he held the first cabinet meeting on the illegally occupied Syrian territory to “send a clear message: Israel will never withdraw from the Golan Heights.”

The Zionists occupied the Golan Heights from Syria, the West Bank that was under Jordanian control, and Gaza and Sinai Peninsula from Egypt in what came to be called the Six Day War in June 1967. The Arabian armies fed on a nonsensical diet of Arab nationalism withered under the Zionist onslaught...

Oh, those thieving Zionists. Them and their "alcohol addition."

Le Carré’s post-Cold-War politics are best described as more Pilgerish than Pilger. Connoisseurs of his public statements can tick every space on the bingo card. Le Carré believes that corporations brainwash the bovine masses (check) on behalf of the imperial American hegemon (check) which is itself controlled by a conspiracy of right-wingers (check) who are pulling our puppet strings at the behest of — guess who? — the Jews (full house!). Or as le Carré explained, the neoconservatives are “appointing the state of Israel as the purpose of all Middle Eastern and practically all global policy”.

Then there is the self-pity, that most deplorable affectation of Western intellectuals, who have never once faced the smallest threat of persecution or punishment for their writing. At one point during the last decade, le Carré compared himself to the German-Jewish diarist Victor Klemperer, who miraculously survived life under the Nazis. Liberals of a certain age remember that when the Ayatollah Khomeini’s assassins imitated the Nazis and threatened Salman Rushdie’s life the Klemperer de nos jours opined that Rushdie had brought death on himself by insulting the great religion of Islam.

Le Carré is a moral relativist of the first rank. I could never take him seriously again after his "progressive" misreading of the Israel-Palestinian situation in The Little Drummer Girl.

The usual suspects swooned and drooled over Justin McDreamy's display of "smarts." Ezra, thank G-d, deploys a very sharp pin to burst their little bubble:

Probably 100 million people saw that video. Probably 99.9 million of them didn’t see the transparent request from Trudeau trying to tee up his clip. 

I’m not mad that Trudeau is a show-off, or that the foreign press fell for this set up. 

I’m mad at the Canadian media, who saw Trudeau ask to be asked; who saw a real reporter try to ask something else, and be pushed aside by Trudeau’s little drama sketch.  

And then who ran with it, like fawning reporters in North Korea, crying tears of joy with how brilliant Dear Leader is. 

These are the reporters we rely on to tell us the truth.
