A Confounding Inconsistency

In his spectacular speech to the Ottawa anti-anti-Semitism conference, Prime Minister Stephen Harper observed that while today's Jew-hate
is as crude as ever, its method is now more sophisticated. Harnessing disparate anti-Semitic, anti-American, anti-Western ideologies, it targets the Jewish people by targetting the Jewish homeland, Israel, as the source of injustice and conflict in the world, and uses, perversely, the language of human rights to do so.
My question: why is the P.M. so wise about how the language of human rights is being misused at the international level and, perversely, so unwilling to acknowledge the immense damage it is doing right here at home?

Update: Another inconsistency--supporting this UN declaration that will have the effect of validating "indigenous" "Palestinians" and invalidating "non-indigenous" Jews. (By the way, I found this link on the facebook page of the Canadian Mausoleum for "Human Rights"--the tin-foil beanie edifice funded by Canadian taxpayers whose ethos is in keeping with contemporary "human rights" mishegas.
