The Toronto Sun's "Moderate" Muslim Du Jour: Calgary Imam Syed Soharwardy

In an editorial drawing attention to the specter of homegrown jihadis, the Sun includes this:
Imam Syed Soharwardy told the Calgary Sun his city is “a breeding ground, I’m expecting more.” He added: “If it’s not properly controlled and monitored by the government, it could be a nightmare for us."
Indeed and agreed. The above is somewhat risible, however, given that they are the words of a die-hard supremacist, the head of the Islamic Supreme Council, no less. Thus, even though violent jihad doesn't happen to be his thing, he does believe, for example, that the prophet Muhammad's final sermon was "The First Ever Charter of Rights and Freedoms" and that "More than 5 million Muslims have been killed / displaced in Palestine since 1948"; he is also the cleric who hauled Ezra Levant before the Alberta "human rights" racket, a prosecution/persecution that lasted for half a decade and cost Levant a bundle. And it is Islam's supremacist teachings that provide the "breeding ground" for jihad--and that are "the nightmare"--even if Syed won't say so.
