"Hateful Words Always Precede Hateful Deeds"

Behold, the crackpot rationale given by "progressive" types for supporting state censorship via, ahem, "modest human rights codes."

To be clear, there is nothing "modest" about Section 13, the federal statue which makes free speech secondary to injured "feelings" of certain designated victims groups. Nor is there anything "modest" about the way this censorship provision plays out in the real world, i.e. that it serves as a cudgel with which to batter Christians, and only Christians. Meanwhile the zesty, zany Zionhass of, for instance, Khomeinists who celebrate the Grandiose Ayatollah's annual Let's Hate Israel Day on the grounds of Ontario's legislature remains fully protected by the vestigial right to free speech that remains.

Update: FYI, censorship-lovers: neither our "modest human rights codes" nor our criminal hate speech laws will touch the likes of Zafar Bangash, Zion-loather extraordinaire (even though the Jew-hate of our time is Zionhass, the "detestation" of Israel, the Jewish State).
