Canucki Islamic Website Crows Triumphally: "Muslims Fastest Growing Religious Community in Canada"

New research shows they now comprise 3.2% of the population, up from 2.0% back in '01. You can curb your "Islamophobia," though, since, according to Ihsaan Gardee, Executive Director of the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations (a.k.a. CAIR-CAN),
“Polling has shown that Canadian Muslims are proud to be Canadian, more so than the average Canadian...Canadian Muslims very much want to integrate and be part and parcel of the society.”
Pace Mr. Gardee's honeyed assurances, here's a now iconic photo showing how some Canadian Muslims are integrating/becoming part and parcel of the society:

Boys in the front, chicks behind a barrier in the back: How Wahhabi Canadian can you get, eh? And given the burgeoning numbers, you can expect to see a lot more of this sort of, um, integration/part and parceling (a.k.a. accommodation) in the future.

As an aside, Quebec blogger Pointe de Bascule has an eye-opening exchange about CAIR and CAIR-CAN here.
